Contract Litigation

Our firm is frequently called upon either to enforce a client’s contractual rights or to defend litigation based on a claimed breach of contract. Contract claims can be as straightforward as promissory notes (although defenses to such claims can be complex) or they can involve claims arising from the sale of goods or a “busted” real estate deal.

Ideally our involvement is at the outset — the earlier lawyers are involved, generally the less heavy the load created on a transaction by legal services. Often such disputes can be resolved prior to litigation by negotiation and when possible, that is where we recommend that our clients put their energy (and resources). But if litigation is required, we will not hesitate to apply the appropriate tools to get the job done and to do our best to accomplish our clients’ goals as efficiently as possible.
